By nature, bluesmen are born with itchy feet to go along with that pesky mojo hand. Lawrence, KS, native Billy Ebeling is no different. A hardened road warrior, Ebeling spent over a decade bringing his brand of swampy southern blues to New Zealand and Australia before coming back to the Midwest to call Kansas City home.

An accomplished guitarist and blues harpist—and even known to strap on an accordion now and again—Ebeling is much more than just a student of the delta and zydeco style blues he performs. It’s an aesthetic that he lives and breathes as the gospel truth.
