Riding With The King (Finally)

Picking up on where I left my last post, it appears that Burger King has gotten the bugs worked out of their opt-in process.  Here’s the lowdown…

BK City™ puts you into the King’s world and allows you to compete for the opportunity to become his personal assistant. Wind your way through the city and complete each mini-game. BK City includes leader boards, buddy lists and user-to-user messaging to challenge friends and family! See if you have what it takes to roll with the King.

What you learn after that point is that the game is $2.99 for the download and incurrs a $2.99 monthly subscription charge until you opt out.  But the whole mechanic is a suite of mini-games that you can unlock as you go.  Also included is a social networking function that allows you to collect buddies and send messages.  I don’t know if the promise that you could actually become a personal assistant to the King is real in an offline, real world sense.  Hmmm…

The two games I played were interesting, but not necessarily spectacular.  The whole experience, however, is unique.  It will be fun to monitor this and see where it goes.
