The Day’s Del.icio.us
Assorted nonsense and marginally relevant shenanigans via my personal del.icio.us bookmarks.
- Robert Moore’s Sonic Spectrum Podcast #40: Featuring all local acts this week, including Dri, Fourth of July, Ghosty, the ACB’s, Matt Pryor, Republic Tigers, Olympic Size, Softee and the Architects.
- Google acquires Russian ad firm, buys more room to grow: A cool ad for Google…in Russia.
- Internet math: Google gets $1.10 of every new ad dollar: Nothing like making sure you get your “fair share.”
- Twitter.me domain squatter will get piece of that $15 million: Trot out the fail whale! Domain squatter swoops up Twitter.me as Evan Williams wonders “wha happun?” Seriously Twitter…seriously?!?
- Wikipedia Tries Approval System to Reduce Vandalism on Pages: If you ever want to waste…oh…4 or 5 hours, pick a few controversial topics or figures, plug them into Wikipedia and the click on the “discussion” tab as the Wiki community battles to the death over every detail. Amazing and frightening at the same time.
- The Mythbusters Want You! Retry on the Solar Death Ray: This is my four year-old’s favorite show. He loves it when they blows thing up. Me…I’ve got a thing for Kari. Sue me.
- i really wanted to like this…and kinda do: In an attempt to define what you ARE, it would seem to me that the easiest route is to demonstrate what you ARE NOT. It’s a bit of a cop out approach, but kudos to this agency for showing some degree of creativity in that regard.
