I always want to do more than what I'm being paid for and typically end up investing much more into my projects than what is healthy and ultimately profitable. Layer that on top of having a day gig and you have a recipe for long hours and little pay. However, somewhere along the way the love for the medium kicks in and sets things right for the sake of morale. Biggest challenge?
