iPod Touch’s Play For Gamers
There’s little doubt that Apple is hoping to transform the iPod Touch into a play for portable gamers. The latest TV spot is in heavy rotation for the holiday season. But did you see this one?
This one-day takeover of games.yahoo.com yesterday is a nice step in bringing the spot’s concept to a web environment…even if it is a bit derivitive of the recent “Wario Land” for Nintentdo Wii genius that hit YouTube back in September.
As you can see…yes…the screen moves. Kinda cool. The miss? You don’t get the driving music that really makes the majority of Apple spots these days until you interact with the banner and enable the audio. That’s something that’s unique to the YouTube user experience that most other sites will simply not offer up.
