I’ve had this tune going through my head quite a bit lately. I picked up the guitar and have been working on it for the last few weeks and have really enjoyed figuring out how to make it my own. But stumbling across this video this morning just blew me away in terms of exactly how damn good Marvin Gaye was live.
The other great part of the this video is the intercut footage of the neighborhoods and African-American communities of Chicago in the early 70s. Priceless stuff.

Very nice… and they are still dying on the streets and in prisons… but it’s part of our institution and ignored…
