Assorted nonsense and marginally relevant shenanigans via my personal delicious.com bookmarks.
- Facebook Announces New Privacy Features: Good grief, Facebook. You've really made a mess of things, haven't you? Your brand's reputation as bumblers when it comes to online privacy protection of your users is growing nearly as fast as your actual user base. You actually make me feel BETTER about all the info that I've willing entrusted to Google along the way. Hell, even Microsoft looks your way, wipes their brow and says "whew!" on a regular basis. For the rest of us, remember this: ANYTHING you post online ANYWHERE is just about as secure as if you scrawled it on a bathroom stall door. Remember that and personal choices you make regarding online privacy should become a lot more clear to you.
- 5 Creative Uses for Crowdsourcing: I'm fascinated by UserTesting.com and Feedback Army, both mentioned as crowdsourced usability testing providers. Anyone have any experience with these or similar such online providers?
- Sucuri Security: Simple cleanup solution for the latest WordPress hack: My blog got hacked sometime in the past day or so with that stupid exploit that's been going around. This handy little fix cleaned me right up. HUGE thanks to these cats, their white hats and their John Wayne sense of duty to the WordPress community!
- CSS 2.1 and CSS 3 Help Cheat Sheets (PDF): Need some ready-reference? These PDF broadsheets ought to fit the bill. I can see this dramatically reducing my traffic to w3schools.com.
- From Mad Man To Twitterholic » The Wisdom Guy: I can think of nothing else to say about this blog post than "wow." In this short post is a mini-manifesto and call to arms for the entire advertising industry, eloquently and succinctly stated. Fantastic. (link via @andbrent)
