The Day’s Delicious
Assorted nonsense and marginally relevant shenanigans via my personal delicious.com bookmarks.
- Designing A Facebook Fan Page: Showcases, Tutorials, Resources: I used to think of designing for Facebook as being akin to trying to paint watercolors with your tongue. As the platform has evolved its toolset for developers and I've become more comfortable with the environment over the last two or three years, I now see it as being quite flexible. This "best of" listing from Smashing Magazine shows exactly how far you can push it.
- Influence Through Storytelling: An interesting presentation here on the power of storytelling. While it's only 25% of the presentation (the other 75% being the actual delivery of it), it's not hard to draw out some great thought-starters from it.
- Moose Tracker: A great site with bite-sized case studies of brands on the move in social media. Definitely a good bookmark to keep around. [Props to @dustinj for the link.]
- Hijacking Rolling Stone’s McChrystal Article: "Cut & paste journalism" indeed. Well played, Time and Politico. I bet you guys love to dine and dash for fun too. [Link via @scottcanon]
- College Students Annoyed by Mobile Ads – eMarketer: "A substantial minority of respondents (44.3%) would not be induced to receive mobile ads under any circumstances, but 37% were willing to accept them for something free in return." Ha!
