Chuck Porter: How To Build An Agency From Scratch
Crispin Porter + Bogusky is the shop everyone desperately loves to hate. And for a while there you could count me in that pitchfork and torch bearing mob. But you know what? They’re just too damn good at what they do. I couldn’t maintain my animosity.
With Alex Bogusky’s announced exit from MDC (CP+B’s parent company) and the ad game in total, I and many others wonder what will be come of the mighty Miami and boisterous Boulder crew. Regardless of what happens next, you can’t say that they didn’t capture lightning in a bottle and in the process give the ad industry the biggest kick in the pants since a couple of guys in Portland decided to “Just do it” in the early 80s.
Below are two short videos from founder Chuck Porter. Tomorrow I’m going to post an uncut version of Bogusky’s recent presentation at the Mirren New Business Conference.
